Unfortunately after the earthquake and tsunami of March 2011 in Japan the issue of nuclear safety and the nuclear power plants in the world back on the news.

In Europe, many countries raised again the need for nuclear energy and security of installed power in each country.
In Spain there are nuclear power plants but which are the countries with nuclear reactors in the world? see answers to this question today.

According to the latest Annual Report of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) are in total 437 nuclear reactors operating worldwide, notably there are 30 countries that are in its territory a nuclear reactor.

Countries with more nuclear reactors are: 1 .-

United States (104, plus one under construction)

2 .- France (59, plus one under construction)

3 .- Japan (54, plus one under construction)

4 .- Russia (31 reactors operation and 9 under construction)

5 .- South Korea (20 and 6 under construction)

6 .- United Kingdom (19)

7 .- India (18 and 5 under construction)

9 .- Germany (17)

10 .- Ukraine (15 and 2 under construction). Very
