Yesterday
learned the sad news about the death of Dwayne McDuffie . The cause of death and specific details are still unknown.

McDuffie in the late 80s it quickly became known as a writer of comics for the series "Damage Control" and help to redefine Marvel Deathlok. He later became a voice for diversity, particularly fighting that stereotypical representations of people of color in the pages of comics.

In 1993, McDuffie was co-founder of Milestone Media, along with Denys Cowan, Michael Davis and Derek T. Dingle. Its stated mission was to expand the role of minorities in comics and released (via DC Comics) a line of superheroes that included "Static", "Close" Xombie "(all co-created by McDuffie).

Over the years, McDuffie created dozens of notable comic such as "Fantastic Four" and "Justice League of America". In recent years, McDuffie dabbled in animation, working as editor of the stories for the popular series "Justice League Unlimited," and wrote a series of recent animated films direct a DVD to DC (where his last job {adaptation of "All Star Superman" that was released yesterday in the United States.
